We had a fantastic turnout for our machine safety seminar at the border! One of the compliments we received was how we successfully condensed a complex and technical topic into an accessible, one-day course. Many of our attendees are already Banner Engineering safety controls users, and they appreciated the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in wiring a safety system while also exploring the latest advancements in our technology. Machine safety controls don’t have to be intimidating! A special thank you to Donald Freitag, CMSE? for delivering an excellent training session and overcoming language barriers to ensure everyone benefited. And a big shoutout to Luis Sanchez for organizing and hosting an event that provided tremendous value to our customers.

Are You Still Using Modbus RTU ????????? In an era where Ethernet/IP, EtherCAT, and PROFINET dominate conversations in industrial automation, it's easy to assume that Modbus RS485 is on its way out. But here’s the reality—Modbus isn’t going anywhere. Despite the advancements in industrial communication protocols, Modbus RS485 remains widely used across industries, and for good reason. Many engineers and plant managers still rely on it for its reliability, simplicity, and cost-effectiveness. Why Modbus RS485 is Still Relevant ?? Proven Reliability – With decades of use in industrial environments, Modbus RS485 has established itself as a rock-solid protocol that keeps machines running smoothly. ?? Cost-Effective & Low Complexity – Unlike Ethernet-based protocols, Modbus doesn’t require complex infrastructure upgrades. It works efficiently over long distances with simple wiring, reducing the overall cost of ownership. ?? Ideal for Legacy Systems – Many industrial facilities still operate equipment that was built decades ago. Modbus RS485 allows seamless integration with legacy devices without requiring an overhaul of an entire control system. ?? Scalability & Ease of Implementation – Whether you're adding a few sensors or expanding a network, Modbus RS485 makes it easy to connect multiple devices without the bandwidth demands of Ethernet. Bridging the Gap Between Legacy and Modern Protocols At ADC, we recognize the importance of supporting both legacy and modern communication protocols. That’s why we represent a range of products that bridge the gap between older protocols like Modbus RS485 and more common industrial standards such as Ethernet/IP, Modbus TCP, and PROFINET. This means you don’t have to choose between keeping your reliable legacy equipment and adopting modern connectivity solutions—you can do both. With the right products, your facility can seamlessly integrate legacy systems into modern industrial networks, ensuring long-term efficiency and scalability. Modbus RS485 in Today’s Automation Landscape While modern Ethernet-based protocols offer high-speed data exchange and advanced connectivity, Modbus RS485 continues to serve critical roles in industries like manufacturing, oil & gas, water treatment, and building automation. Still Using Modbus? Let’s Talk! ?? Keeping Legacy Systems Running? ?? Bridging the Gap to Modern Networks? ?? Looking to Connect Your Data to the Cloud? Modbus RS485 isn’t outdated—it’s a reliable, proven solution that still plays a vital role in automation today. Whether you're maintaining existing infrastructure or seeking ways to modernize and integrate with new technologies, we’ve got solutions that can help. ?? Need to upgrade or connect legacy equipment? Let’s explore the best ways to bring your operations up to speed! ?? Drop a comment or reach out to learn more.

Great conversations, applications, and turnout in Mississippi last week! Thank you to all who take a chance on our Red Lion Controls HMI's and products. A customer at a factory with a different HMI specification told us "I will be trying to talk leadership into implementing these in future projects". We appreciate all the positive feedback and emails letting us know how much you enjoy the class, the lunch, and the professional community.
