Here at Autodesk Research we’re making major advancements to transform building deconstruction through AI and sensing technologies. Key findings from our initial experiments include: ??? 95% accuracy in metal stud detection ?? 88% accuracy in damage detection ?? Potential to save 0.45kg CO2 per square foot through material reuse Our proposed methodology combines thermal imaging, RGB cameras, and machine learning to enable automated assessment of reusable building materials. Early-stage results demonstrate promising pathways for reducing construction waste and enabling circular material flows.
