In our 2025 Government Affairs Economic Impact Data study, we’ve made significant methodological adjustments to enhance data consistency and accuracy compared to the 2021 iteration. In 2021, constraints from the COVID-19 period meant that retail and service sector data were supplemented with facility-level insights due to limited time and data availability. For 2024, we’ve shifted our approach—both employment and facility data for the retail, wholesale, and service sectors are now sourced entirely from location data, ensuring greater consistency. Meanwhile, manufacturing data continues to be gathered at the facility level through detailed manual research. Additionally, updates to the multipliers in IMPLAN, Inc.’s input-output models now reflect post-2021 inflation changes and other economic effects, further enhancing our data’s reliability. Excited to see how these improvements will drive more accurate insights and better inform decision-making! It's our favorite day!??? Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) regulations are gaining traction across the U.S., and they’re set to transform how the automotive aftermarket manages product lifecycle and sustainability. Are you ready for the impact? In our latest episode of Auto Care ON AIR's "Traction Control", host Stacey Miller, AAP sits down with Lisa Gochenour, Senior Environmental Manager at Highline Warren and Vice Chair of Auto Care’s Sustainability Committee, to break down what EPR really means for your business. - What is EPR? A policy that shifts waste management responsibility from consumers and local governments back to the companies producing goods. - Why it matters now? Oregon's reporting deadline is March 31, with Colorado and California following close behind. - The risks of non-compliance? Fines, product bans, and market restrictions. - The opportunity? Smarter, sustainable packaging that gives businesses a competitive edge. Lisa’s key takeaway? "Don't wait to be reactive. Be prepared to pivot at any time as these laws evolve." ?? Stay ahead of EPR regulations. Tune in now and get the insights you need to prepare. You can listen anywhere you get your podcasts! Spotify: https://lnkd.in/gvBz22k2 Want more resources?
