Autocam Medical believes in investing in the communities where we work and play. Last weekend, we proudly helped sponsor the 3rd Annual Girl Scout Leadership Conference held at Frederik Meijer Gardens and Sculpture Park. The Girl Scouts of Michigan Shore to Shore seeks to develop future leaders of courage, confidence, and character who make the world a better place. This conference shows Girl Scouts all that is possible for them in a variety of career paths, especially those in which women are underrepresented, inspiring them to dream big and work hard. We are proud to not only sponsor but have our very own Sara McMurray act as a mentor while also serving as a Board Member for the Girl Scouts of Michigan Shore to Shore. Through our partnership with West Michigan Works!, Autocam Medical was thrilled to participate in this year’s Discovering Manufacturing Week! We strive to provide opportunities of education not only to our employees but also to the youth in our communities. This week Autocam Medical gave several tours, showing over 200 students what a career in advanced manufacturing can look like. These tours gave students a firsthand experience to the work that is being done in their respective community. The goal of Discover Manufacturing is to rewrite the narrative around manufacturing jobs for the next generation. We are thrilled to share Autocam Medical partnered with Heart of West Michigan United Way for another successful fundraising week! We are dedicated to Making Lives Better. This aligns with United Way’s mission, "to improve lives by mobilizing the caring power of communities around the world to advance the common good." Autocam Medical is an environment where continuous improvement, innovation of technology and educational growth opportunities are at the forefront of what we do. Held this week, one growth opportunity is our Autocam Medical 102 Course, led by John Kennedy, President & CEO, our Global Quality Director, and two guest speakers, our Chief Technology Officer and Corporate Controller. The course features discussions and hands-on activities outlining our history and culture. We explored why it so important to embrace opportunities for advanced education, and ways to enhance our communication when striving to build the latest in technological innovations. It’s an introduction to the why, and how of what we do, and a reminder of what we can do when we work together. We make lives better.?

The WiM Summit in Boston, MA, was a remarkable gathering of innovation and inspiration! Autocam Medical proudly participated in this record-setting Women in Manufacturing event, uniting over 2,100 attendees dedicated to promoting, supporting and inspiring women in manufacturing. Special thanks to our own—Genevieve Wisby, Samantha Underhill, Callen Metsaars (Richards), Ashley Werkema, Sara McMurray, Anna Burgess, Lindsey Troy, and Victoria Cugini—for their contributions. This year’s theme, “Champion for Success,” resonated throughout the summit, featuring illuminating keynotes and over 60 educational and group breakout sessions. We appreciate everyone who made this event a success and extend our gratitude to our Plymouth facility for hosting a plant tour showcasing Autocam Medical’s capabilities and advanced manufacturing technology. North American Spine Society (NASS), held this year in Chicago, what a show! Each year NASS offers a variety of research showcases, which feature informative presentations on the latest in cutting-edge spine research. Collaborating with doctors, surgeons, and other medical device manufacturers allows us to continue to explore the frontlines of spinal care and research. See you next year for the 40th anniversary!
