AUTM congratulates Senators Coons and Tillis for successfully passing S. 2220, the PREVAIL Act, out of the Senate Judiciary Committee today! This critical legislation aims to reform the Patent Trial and Appeal Board (PTAB) process, which has often been used to block new technologies from advancing. The PREVAIL Act will help level the playing field and reduce the gamesmanship that has been stifling American innovation. The bill now heads to the Senate floor, where Senators Coons (D-DE) and Tillis (R-NC) will continue collaborating with their colleagues to refine the legislation. AUTM urges its members to reach out to their Senators and emphasize the positive impact this legislation will have in reducing PTAB delays and promoting innovation. “We look forward to continuing to work with Senators Coons and Tillis as this legislation moves forward,” said Stephen Susalka, CEO of AUTM. AUTM encourages Members to thank the Senators who voted YES in committee for their support in advancing this critical legislation: ? Sen. Dick Durbin (D-IL) ? Sen. Amy Klobuchar (D-MN) ? Sen. Chris Coons (D-DE) ? Sen. Richard Blumenthal (D-CT) ? Sen. Mazie Hirono (D-HI) ? Sen. Cory Booker (D-NJ) ? Sen. Peter Welch (D-VT) ? Sen. Laphonza Butler (D-CA) ? Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-SC) ? Sen. Thom Tillis (R-NC) ? Sen. Marsha Blackburn (R-TN)
