One year ago, I was in the Los Feliz neighborhood of Los Angeles for the recording?of my podcast?interview for Armchair Expert with Dax Shepard. It felt surreal to be the first person to be invited on the show?to talk about #neurodiversity and a bit intimidating --?especially considering that his guests have been predominantly celebrities and household name authors and experts. I knew, unlike other podcasts, Dax is known to directly probe into the personal and the messy. That morning, I spent a lot of time swimming, doing breathing exercises, and most importantly, deciding that I would allow myself to be vulnerable?and talk openly about my personal story if asked alongside questions about my book and my academic?expertise. Many people?in the neurodiversity community knew my story for years but disclosure on a platform with 20 million monthly listeners was a totally different thing. Some well-intentioned people advised me strongly to dodge any personal questions. Disclosure is a very personal choice. That afternoon, I sat across from Dax and Monica in literal armchairs and had a most enlightening?conversation, one I will never forget. Dax had read my book, The Neurodiversity Edge, in depth, neither of us had any notes, and I found?myself really enjoying the conversation. I left feeling a sense of pride in owning who I was, who I always have been, and feeling like I, along with my fellow neurodivergent?#leaders, have the power to openly lead by example and forge a better path for younger generations. If you have not yet listened to the conversation, you can do so at the links in the comments. Dax is a curious, funny, and brilliant host. #neurodiversity #leadership #innovation #ai #culture #education #hr #ceo #socialimpact

A Historic Milestone: The 2025 Davos Neurodiversity Summit during the World Economic Forum In reflecting on the 2025 Davos Neurodiversity Summit, I am incredibly inspired by the transformative discussions, meaningful collaborations, and groundbreaking insights shared throughout the week. This Summit was not just an event—it was a movement inspiring a global coalition of neurodistinct leaders, influencers, and allies to come together with a shared vision. The Davos Neurodiversity Summit (DNS) is a global coalition of leaders dedicated to creating inclusive progress during the World Economic Forum with a platform to amplify neurodistinct voices and allies, and to integrate nonlinear/divergent or hyperfocus thinking to provide unique insights and perspectives on our greatest challenges. We brought #neurodiversity to the forefront—ensuring that innovation, economic growth, and technological progress reflect the full spectrum of human potential. Together, we are challenging outdated paradigms and shaping a #future where all minds are embraced, valued, and #empowered to solve our greatest challenges. The deep friendships built over the course of the Summit highlight the true spirit of collaboration. Our panelists and speakers were outstanding and helped us forge a new path toward a future where we can begin to reimagine growth, rebuild trust and invest in the potential of all people. In coming weeks, I will highlight the videos from our panels and speakers, including the hybrid and virtual sessions which will become available on the Davos Neurodiversity Summit website. Please look at the comments section for details about the panel sessions and speakers, as well as links to the Summit website and recent press release. A very special thank you to everyone who made the summit an extraordinary experience and especially to our sponsors Everway (formerly Texthelp), Neuropower World, Neurodiversity +Opportunity drives Innovation (NODI), Autism Community Ventures PBC, Autism Angels Group and TMT Partners Holdings. And this is just the beginning. Ongoing working groups, white paper discussions, an expanded Leadership Wall online, and think tanks will continue throughout the year—pushing forward real-world solutions that embrace neurodivergent talent to solve our most complex global challenges. The Movement Continues – Join Us in 2026! If you want to be part of shaping the future, join us for the 2026 Davos Neurodiversity Summit! Sign up for updates in the link in the comments. Registrations for 2026 will officially open next month. #Neurodiversity #WEF #FutureofWork #AI #Inclusion #Leadership #Davos2025 #DavosNeurodiversitySummit

???? Embracing Neurodiversity - The unseen ingenuity, the power of creative imagination and problem solving Twentyfive+ years ago, I embarked on my studies in the realm of #computerscience , #mathematics and #artificialintelligence @ Technische Universit?t Chemnitz A journey made special by encouragement of teachers and professors and their trust in me & maybe enlightened due to passion and hyper focus for technology topics.???? Today, I am more convinced than ever, that the natural variation in our brains is not just a characteristic, but a powerful asset. Today is the release of Bill Gates new book "Source Code", and I am reminded of his recent interview with The Wall Street Journal where he candidly shared that he might have been diagnosed with autism as a child. I started reading already his memoirs, as I got it on my business trip to London today ?? His unique traits, possibly stemming from this neurodiversity, played a pivotal role in shaping his vision and ultimately, our digital world. The World Economic Forum has rightly emphasized the importance of neurodiversity in leadership and the session from the young global leaders this year highlighted some of this unique perspectives. Very proud that ambassador Maureen N. Dunne, Ph.D. initiated the “Davos Neurodiversity Summit” with another successful event this year in Davos! Amazing support in Davos was given by Iris Gallmann, Elena Och Silvan Ruthenberg Professor Charlotte Valeur Mark Fister Rebeca Valenca and many many more! All links to be found in comments!
