As we celebrated our 90th anniversary, we wanted to invite our guests to become a part of something bigger – to join us in our mission to ensure that people with disabilities have access to employment, independence, and inclusion in our community. The coin isn’t just a token; it’s an invitation. It’s a call to action for all of us to work together to create a more inclusive and accessible world. By receiving a Challenge Coin, each attendee is reminded of the essential work that lies ahead and their role in it. Whether through volunteering, donating, or advocating for people with disabilities, we believe that everyone can make a difference.

Our Independent Living Skills Training Apartment is one of 3 unique spaces in Texas that provide training for seniors and newly blind individuals. It's set up like a traditional apartment - specially outfitted with braille labels, bump dots, and supportive tech (braille measuring cups, talking thermometers for cooking, special knives, etc.) to teach daily living skills for people with visually impairments. We're excited to share more details in the coming weeks, as well as interviews with our ILS Training Team. Stay tuned for more!
