A Simple Battery Penetration Video (Third Party) Demonstrate the Safety Differences between NCM, LFP and Sodium-ion batteries This video reflects the fire, explosion, and safety issues of sodium-ion batteries (Na-ION), lithium iron phosphate batteries (LFP), and ternary/high nickel/NCM batteries (NCM series) when they are penetrated. Under penetration conditions, NCM batteries are most prone to catching fire and exploding (thus posing the highest safety risk). The latest Na-ION batteries do not catch fire but may explode (indicating that sodium-ion batteries still have a long way to go). Only LFP batteries do not explode or catch fire (making them the safest and most reliable).
