Austin's Light Rail Project is underway, and the Austin Transit Partnership Board of Directors received an update from ATP staff on November 14, related to the delivery and contracting plan for Austin Light Rail Phase 1. Early in 2025, ATP will begin the final design/construction solicitation process: the package for the Light Rail Civil work, including the new bridge over Lady Bird Lake and an Operations and Maintenance Facility. Combined, these contracting opportunities represent several billion dollars of contracting opportunities. Austin Light Rail is an engine for job creation in Austin, Central Texas and throughout the State of Texas. Austin Transit Partnership will host its next Industry-focused event in Spring 2025.
