Sadly, I must admit, I have seen many lives enter this world and bared witness to an exponentially higher number of souls departing the flesh. Despite all of that experience, I never truly understood the actual value and fragility of the present. I feel like I should have had this epiphany many years and many deaths ago. I wouldn’t call it a regret necessarily but I have decided to redirect my focus and make the best of the here and now. It’s hard to navigate the journey of life if your focus is stuck in the rear view. Also, recently I have come to accept the fact that I have saved countless lives and it’s okay and one should be PROUD of such!!
