Post-quantum cryptography (PQC) is getting close.

Quantum computing just took a giant step forward with Microsoft’s Majorana 1 chip—a breakthrough in stable, scalable topological qubits. As our CEO Rebecca Krauthamer shared with SecurityWeek, this isn’t just innovation; it’s a signal. The timeline to cryptanalytically-relevant quantum computers (CRQCs) could be shorter than we think, putting today’s public key encryption at risk. At QuSecure, we’re not surprised—we’ve been preparing for this moment. Our post-quantum cryptography solutions are designed to protect enterprises, governments, and critical infrastructure from the quantum threat. Read Rebecca’s take on what this means for cybersecurity: https://lnkd.in/g-nSEsKy The future of Quantum isn’t coming. It’s here! Let’s secure it together. #QuantumComputing #Cybersecurity #PostQuantum

The smallest military service has a big problem with its data, but a new strategy document released this morning lays out a multi-point approach to finally fixing the Unified Data Library. The UDL was created in 2019 with a contract to startup Bluestaq to pool commercial information on objects in space, from dangerous debris to foreign satellites. So far, however, the project has failed to integrate that data with the computer systems Space Force units actually use to monitor the increasingly crowded heavens, as Space Force officials have themselves acknowledged. https://lnkd.in/eqHU9TdA

What's with encryption? You see the word everywhere—on your phone, in your company’s IT policies, even in the news. But what does it really mean for your business? Encryption is like a digital lockbox: it scrambles your data (emails, financial records, customer info) into a secret code that only the right key can unlock. Today’s encryption— RSA or AES—rely on math problems so complicated that even the fastest supercomputers would take billions of years to crack them. Sounds secure, right? For now, it is. But there’s a catch—and it’s coming faster than you might think. Experts estimate that within the next few years, a powerful enough quantum computer could break RSA or ECC (elliptic curve cryptography) in HOURS, not years. For our clients, that means sensitive data—trade secrets, client records, even archived comms—could suddenly become an open book. Most businesses don’t realize how much of their security assumes this old encryption method will hold up forever. Unfortunately: it won’t. So, what can you do? Start by assessing your ‘quantum risk.’ Look at what data you’re protecting, how long it needs to stay safe, and whether it’s encrypted with traditional methods. Ask your IT team: are we ready for a world where quantum cracks the code? It’s not about panic—it’s about awareness. At QuSecure, we’re staying ahead of this shift. Learn more at QuSecure.com

This is ground-breaking! ???? Sunita Lyn "Suni" Williams flew combat missions as a Navy pilot. Over 3,000 flight hours in 30 different aircraft. She walked in space nine times, spending more than 62 hours in spacewalks (current record-holder for most hours by a woman and 4th overall). She ran a full marathon in orbit in 2007, the first person ever to do it. She completed a triathlon in space, swimming, biking, and running without gravity. In 2024, she flew Starliner’s test flight, the first woman to pilot a new spacecraft. Nine months in space, she returned safely to Earth on March 18, 2025. Sunita never let anyone tell her what she couldn’t do. She showed the world what’s truly possible. Welcome home, Suni! You inspire us all to aim higher. What’s stopping you from taking your next leap? #Inspiration #Motivation #USA #NASA #Leadership

Quite the week. Paul Szymanski and I sold out on the initial printing of our book, and now we are nominated for an indie publishing award. I definitely didn’t see this one coming, but we always said we believed in our project. A big thanks to all those who have continued to support.

This week, our collaborative efforts with the University of Alaska Fairbanks and the 11th Airborne Division have advanced our West Point research initiatives. Our cadets focused on enhancing the effectiveness of military personnel by researching GPS scintillation and plasma impacts in the upper E-Region, aiming to provide real-time insights for units like 1-5 IN, led by LTC Joey Williams. During our joint efforts, LTC Williams conducted an Operational Professional Development session, discussing aurora-related battlefield effects and sharing valuable leadership perspectives with the cadets. The interaction was exceptional, and I am fortunate to not only regard LTC Williams as a mentor but also as a friend. Furthermore, our expedition included witnessing the mesmerizing aurora and two sub-storm events, enhancing the unforgettable experience, all made possible by Dr. Don Johnson and COL Diana Loucks.

Hangar C stands as the oldest missile assembly building on Cape Canaveral Space Force Station. These photos show the tail end of its construction in 1953. We recently noticed how different the windows looked back then compared to today. The sides (or NE and SW wings) displayed a sea of glass compared to today’s puny window enclosures. Upon further inspection, we discovered subtle lines under the layers of paint that outline the original windows. They were blocked in. Why? Probably for several reasons: tropical storms; later addition of air conditioning; and/or nearby rocket launches. It’s always fun to explore the old lines of this beauty.
