Aus Property Professionals was founded by successful property investor and developer Lloyd Edge who has achieved financial independence through property. Lloyd felt trapped and frustrated having to live by society's rules and decided to stop trading time for money. He now helps Australians achieve their own financial and lifestyle dreams by compassionately showing you how to create choices in your life through strategic property investment. The Aus Property Professionals brand transforms how properties are purchased in Australia. Drawing on Lloyd's vast experience and robust strategic planning methods, the APP team is able to source and negotiate on properties (often 'off market') that precisely match your criteria, whether it is in Sydney or Brisbane, or a major regional area. When you engage Aus Property Professionals as your buyers agent you can be assured of personal service and that your expectations will be exceeded. We now have offices in Sydney and Brisbane.

International Women's Day - 2025 International Women's Day 2025 is this Saturday 8th March. I would like to publicly celebrate this because 70% of our team at Aus Property Professionals are women. Very talented women who juggle busy lives from being a mum, to looking after the house and also working. I am very proud that we can offer so many women opportunities for flexible roles to suit their needs in our business. What is International Women's Day? IWD is a day to recognise how far we’ve come towards gender equality, and also how far we have left to go. Back in 1911, only eight countries allowed women to vote, equal pay for equal work was unheard of – if women were allowed to work at all. While women once faced restrictions on where they worked, they are now running corporations. In countries such as Australia they have rights their grandmothers could only have dreamed about, but we still don’t have complete equality. And the majority of the world’s women aren’t anywhere near as close to that goal as we are. International Women’s Day is a once-a-year chance to remind governments, businesses and everyone else watching that women aren’t going anywhere. We as business owners need to play our part as well. Some women feel they have not encountered discrimination or harassment, or faced systemic barriers to their success, but that’s not the experience of all women. IWD is an opportunity to acknowledge the compounded challenges faced by women of colour, women with disabilities, and queer or trans women, and stand in partnership with them. I just want to give a shout out to the fantastic women we have here at Aus Property Professionals.

It made global headlines... It was the Australian property investment commentary ‘shot’ heard round the world. News outlets around the world picked up the story. Columnist for The Australian, Bernard Salt, coined the now-iconic phrase about young people indulging in “smashed avocado with crumbled feta on five-grain toasted bread at $22 a pop and more.” Many were quick to argue that the maths didn’t quite add up. But with some paying equivalent amounts multiple times a day at 2017 prices, looking back now… maybe it did? Some saw it as a simple critique of spending habits. A reminder that you have to be smarter with your money than ever. But recently, a client sent me the image above, joking that thanks to his property investments, he could now afford to feed his kids smashed avocado. But the joke got me thinking… How long REALLY, is the property investment journey you’re on? What if those who think they might be able to afford one property but don’t buy it because they believe there’s no way they’ll ever afford three, four, or more... shifted their mindset? What if they extended their property investment 'timeline' beyond their own lifetime, considering not just themselves, but their kids—and even their grandkids? I’m not talking about giving your kids a fortune on a silver platter, but rather the difference even one property purchase could make for your next generation. The rise of the ‘Bank of Mum and Dad’ has become a major force in this property cycle. But do I think it was the parents mindset or goal to do this?… possibly, but not probably… the market seems to have just made it that way. I’m not saying smarter saving is the same kind of sacrifice immigrant families made in the past… ….boarding a vessel for months, leaving everything behind, and arriving in Australia with nothing but a suitcase of clothes, all for the chance at a better future for their children. But the principle, in my mind, remains the same. I can’t remember the name of the comedian, but I remember his line: 'You can’t take what you own with you. The Egyptians tried, and that didn’t work out too well, did it?' Perhaps we could learn from that… or simply enjoy the moment and give your kids smashed avocado right now. The choice is yours. #smashedavocado #PropertyInvestment #LloydEdge #SmartInvesting #AustralianRealEstate #WeFindYouSave
