We build medical management programs to the unique specifications of each individual group. By understanding the client’s culture, population, goals, objectives, and budget we formulate a medical management strategy that is the best possible fit for them, and will generate the results they need to achieve. Tweaking and modifying the program as services progress ensures optimal success. AIMM’s team is as aggressive or as passive in our interventions as the client chooses. We provide our expertise, information, suggestions, and consultation, but ultimately it is the client who decides the format of their program, how much of an investment they are able/willing to make, and where they wish to deploy those resources. All AIMM services are centered on the concepts of being patient-centric, comprehensive, holistic, and fully integrated. We understand that the most effective, most well received, medical management programs are “Patient Centric”. Therefore, our programs focus on identification of patients who could benefit from the individualized attention and assistance of a professional Nurse in controlling their health condition(s). Any patient with any health condition who is not currently utilizing “best practices medicine” would be a candidate for our program. Once identified as a potential candidate the patient receives outreach from the professional Nurse who works to determine how AIMM services can improve the quality of health care the patient is receiving and/or decrease the cost of the health care the patient is receiving without compromising the quality of health care being provided.

During a call, Nurse Jessica and Nurse Camilo (AIMM Spanish-speaking Nurse) worked together with a Spanish-speaking patient who sought assistance regarding a prior authorization for a teleconsult with the patient's primary care doctor after a recent mammogram. After getting the authorization the patient expressed some concerns about her dizziness which had recurred after ten years. Key Figures: - Total Anticipated Billed Charges (ABC) per dose: $896,966.27 - Total Wholesale Acquisition Cost (WAC) per dose: $12,716.63 - Markup per dose: $884,249.64 (6,953%) For a 6-cycle request: - Total ABC: $5,381,797.62 - Total WAC: $76,299.78 - Markup: $5,305,497.84 Resulting in a $5.3 million price-gouge. No PPO discount can make this end spend reasonable. Adding to the chaos, the group believes using RBP will suffice. Medical Management - it's just another box to check when your signing your health plan up for a carrier or TPA service, right? They've got in-house medical management that will optimally control your claims spending, right? Having it all in one place is just easier, right? ??♀? They'll take care of us, right? Wrong! You can check that box all day long ? and there still won't be anyone identifying the right patients, engaging those patients, pointing them to the right care, ensuring that timing of their care was appropriate, or getting them into the right place for their care. There was no Care Management. Oh sure, there may have been Care Watching, or Case Reporting, and the group may even have been paying for something labeled as Care or Case Management Services, but in reality they turned out to be nothing more than glorified (and well paid) historians...reporting to the group where their money had gone rather than managing what was causing the cost to occur in the first place!??
