Australia's National Space Strategy ? "Space as a 'whole of nation' endeavour needs a national space strategy" is said often, and again by Malcolm Davis from Australian Strategic Policy Institute at #ADMEvents Space Congress. "A?national space policy?is needed to ensure Australia consistently engages across government, industry and global partners alike." says Catherine Wood from Lowy Institute. Looking to the US, their 2020 National Space Policy "sets out the nation’s commitment to ... promoting a robust commercial space industry" and "recognizes that a robust, innovative, and competitive commercial space sector is foundational to economic development, continued progress, and sustained American leadership in space." Space technology is typically dual use, i.e. has both civil and military applications, so we need a whole of government strategy. Australia - we can do it, we should do it! Congratulations to Nathan Parrott ??, Mike Faunda and the Saber Astro USA team! Some of you might not realize Saber's history as pioneers in machine learning applications to space, listed as a NASA spinout since 2012. The team's work on Windu is the result of hard work and a dash of moxy. And oh by the way, with thanks to Space Cockpit, Windu is high-side deployable. And with thanks to Saber's Responsive Space Operations Center in the USA and Australia, we use Windu operationally in live missions. Onward and upwards space fans
