Stu's invaluable legacy spans 27 years, and his vision and efforts to advance healthcare in the Shenandoah Valley have directly contributed to Augusta Health’s recognition today as a national model for community-based care. Stu served on Augusta Health’s Board of Directors from 1997-2019, acting as Chairman from 2005-2010, and as Board Member Emeritus since 2019. Over the years, he chaired the Governance and Property & Facilities Committees, and served on the Quality & Patient Safety and Executive Committees. We are grateful for Stu's leadership!?

Augusta Health was recognized by the VDH and awarded the Virginia Antimicrobial Stewardship Honor Roll for Acute Care! The goal of the Honor Roll is to recognize facilities meeting each of the CDC seven core elements of hospital antimicrobial stewardship programs and to encourage facilities to enhance existing programs.?
