The wait is over! We’re excited to announce that the Audius ‘Pay-to-Unlock’ monetization feature has exited private beta and is now available to all users. What does this mean? ?? ? 1/ Any artist in the world can sign up, set their own terms, and control the pricing of their music on Audius. Fans can support their favorite artists with direct payments. 2/ Music fans can seamlessly use their credit card to pay artists in USDC, which can be converted by artists and rights holders to any currency of their choice. 3/ The planned community split is now active for the first time: 10% of every fan to artist payment is now captured by the community treasury, with proceeds to be used at the direction of on-chain governance. 4/ During the beta period, over 100 artists joined the beta and monetized their content. There’s a governance proposal pending to retire the old payment process which will finalize enforcement of the community split across the network. #Audius #MusicMarketplace
