    There's something wrong with the coffee subscription model for both roasters & coffee lovers. At first glance, the allure of subscription models for roasters is undeniable—offering a steady revenue stream and promising personalized experiences for the consumer. Yet, the model isn't without its flaws for coffee roasters. Here's the breakdown: The Roaster's Dilemma: "Roaster Choice" subscription model isn't really the roaster's choice. Instead you need to select coffees that match the overall price point of the subscription program. Want to send that amazing Guatemalan Gesha? Sorry, no—it's too expensive. Customer's Conundrum: More than one-third of consumers who sign up for a subscription service cancel within the first 3 months. Consumers are more likely to churn when they feel their choices are limited, or they are dissatisfied with the product or service they are receiving. Logistical Complexities: Navigating subscription logistics goes beyond just sending out monthly coffee batches. For roasters and their customer support teams, the challenges include managing a constant influx of customer inquiries, updates to subscription preferences, and addressing delivery issues.
