This past weekend, I wrapped up my yearlong Corporate Communications and PR fellowship at Audacy as Justin Timberlake, New Kids On The Block, Tate McRae, Benson Boone, Khalid and Isabel LaRosa took the stage at Audacy’s We Can Survive concert in support of the Company’s mental health initiative, “I’m Listening.” I am extremely grateful my team blessed me with this last chance to lean into the experience and soak up the uniting power of music. I couldn’t have picked a better way to celebrate this year of growth. Throughout this experience, I’ve touched many verticals of the business, including music, entertainment, live events, podcasts, sports and news. I’ve earned over 1,076 placements in publications, including New York Post, HELLO!, Us Weekly and Billboard, amassing 6.49 billion unique visitors per month (UVM), exposing our talent, content and brand to people from all walks of life. Thank you to all the journalists who gave me a chance to tell my story. My manager, David Heim, allowed me to grow in ways I couldn’t have imagined. He trusted me to draft local and corporate press materials and handle team assets. He encouraged me to step outside my comfort zone, whether it was working closely with Paul Suchman on projects to support C-Suite, or jumping in on content promotions and talent pitching with Lindsay Salandra. In an exciting year when Audacy Podcasts took flight, I’m grateful that Hillary Schupf allowed me into her world. Daniel Yarnall and Katherine Ide also gave me valuable knowledge about internal communications and building a culture that extends the team member life cycle. One of the most rewarding parts of this experience was working with the team to create the “Audacy Talent Spotlight” employee features. With the help of HR, including Olive H.A, I nourished my curiosity through the program’s “Lunch & Learn” series, as we heard from brilliant minds like Idil Miriam Cakim. My mentor, John Schwab, was also an amazing teacher and listener who challenged me to ask questions and harness my creativity in something new by writing a radio spot. I worked with outstanding team members, including those on the design, events, programming, research, social and sports teams. Thank you to everyone who welcomed me with open arms, including all those in the New York office and Jennifer Valenti-Smith, who warmly invited me into Audacy. I am leaving as a better professional because of this fellowship and the people who make up this Company. A year ago, I was at We Can Survive as a fan, just beginning this journey, and on Saturday, I was backstage helping with a robust carpet. This was a full-circle moment and one that I will cherish forever. Audacy has given me the best start to my career that I could’ve asked for. I’m excited to implement the tremendous growth I’ve experienced professionally and personally in the next chapter of my story.
