Exciting news from the Woodland Park Zoo Forest Trailhead project! Our team has begun above-ground rough-in for this amazing new exhibit in Seattle, featuring habitats for Tree Kangaroos, Red Pandas, a Kea, and various reptiles, insects, and fish. The project also includes zookeeper areas, an interior viewing gallery, and six spacious exterior habitats. We recently celebrated a major milestone with the topping out of the exhibit structure. As we move forward with the project, we're focused on bringing it to life, with completion expected later this summer. We're incredibly proud of our team's hard work in creating a space that fosters a deeper connection between people and wildlife.
On Tuesday, Sellen Construction, Woodland Park Zoo, and LMN Architects celebrated the topping out of the new Forest Trailhead exhibit with the placement of the final roof panel. The event included speeches from project leaders and an opportunity for project team members to sign the roof panel before it was installed. Thanks to everyone who contributed to this important construction milestone!
