A&CO client WIF (formerly Women in Film) recently announced that Syrinthia Studer will be the new President of its Board of Directors beginning next year. Studer will follow Amy Baer as leader of WIF’s board. A&CO congratulates Raha Amirfazli and Shadi Karamroudi, this year’s recipients of the prestigious 2024 Academy Gold Fellowship for Women, presented in partnership with our friends at CHANEL. The Gold Fellowship for Women is a one-year program that is dedicated to fostering the careers of emerging women filmmakers by providing mentorship, support, and unique networking opportunities. Fellows also receive ongoing career advancement support through the Gold Alumni Program. Amirfazli is an Iranian writer, director and producer based in New York. Her debut feature, “In the Land of Brothers,” premiered at the 2024 Sundance Film Festival and earned her the Directing Award in the World Cinema Dramatic Competition. Karamroudi is an Iranian actress, director, writer and producer who studied filmmaking and acting in Tehran. She has appeared in feature films, short films and theater pieces as an actress and has participated in making five short films as a director, writer or producer.
