Where US state Attorneys General collaborate on emerging legal issues and rule of law at home and across borders.

关于我们

The Attorney General Alliance (AGA) hosts U.S. state Attorneys General in their collaborations on emerging legal issues like cannabis regulation, sports betting, and cybercrime as well as our growing international relationships. Founded in the West, the Conference of Western Attorneys General (CWAG) has always been a home for western state Attorneys General to collaborate on traditionally western issues like public lands, water rights and tribal issues. With associate members joining from all over the country, and transnational legal issues emerging around the world, our interests and expertise have ventured beyond the boundaries of the West. The Alliance Partnership in Mexico and the Africa Alliance Partnership have reached new heights, fighting against transnational criminal activity that knows no borders. We all suffer the effects of cybercrime, money laundering and human trafficking rings that reach into our states. Attorneys General around the world can be our allies in protecting our citizens at home. We are an alliance of Attorneys General, federal, state and foreign officials, and public and private sector partners throughout the world. We are the Attorney General Alliance.

  • CJ Brady, Assistant Attorney General from the Nevada Attorney General's Office, spoke at the Women’s Empowerment Summit about the opportunities and impact of public service. AGA thanks AAG Brady for her dedication to cultivating multi-state relationships within AGOs and for serving as a legal training instructor in AGA’s Africa Rule of Law programming, which strengthens law enforcement’s ability to investigate, prosecute, and disrupt transnational criminal syndicates. Through partnerships with academics, non-profits, and public sector organizations, AGA has delivered training programs on topics such as transnational organized crime, the illegal wildlife trade, financial investigations, dealing with crypto assets, and trial advocacy. These initiatives facilitate cross-border collaboration and equip legal professionals with the expertise to combat emerging threats. We appreciate leaders like AAG Brady, who continue to share their knowledge and inspire the next generation of legal professionals.

???????????? ????????????????: ?????????? ???????????????? ???????????????? ???? ???????????? "No person should ever be bought or sold, particularly in the U.S."?– Tanya Gould (Director, Anti-Human Trafficking, Virginia Office of the Attorney General) "My son's legacy is changing the way dying children get palliative care."?– Cynthia Stern Lynch (Partner, Patrick Lynch Group) At the Women's Empowerment Summit, these words were more than just statements—they were calls to action. The?Stories of Strength?panel, moderated by AGA Deputy Director Tania Maestas, brought together two extraordinary women who have turned unimaginable pain into purpose. Tanya Gould, a survivor and advocate, reminded us that?human trafficking isn’t just a global issue—it’s happening in our communities.?Her message is clear: awareness isn’t enough; action is required. We must be vigilant, support survivors, and ensure that no one is ever treated as a commodity. Cynthia Stern Lynch, MPA, in the face of profound loss, proves that even in grief,?we can build something that outlasts us—a legacy of compassion, dignity, and impact.

Last week, I had the pleasure of representing MADD and speaking on a panel called, “Working Together to Save Lives” alongside Assemblywoman Cottie Petrie-Norris, Alden Schacher (Diageo), and Karen Sisson, Esq. (Mindr), which was moderated by Michele Leonhart (DEA Education Foundation) and hosted by the Attorney General Alliance. My fellow panelists and I spoke about our mission to end impaired driving through public education, implementation of the HALT Act (law requiring all new cars to have passive impairment detection tech as a safety feature), and ignition interlock and other legislations to drive change in behaviors. While our topic was serious, we still managed to have fun. Because this was AGA’s Women’s Empowerment Summit, the room was completely filled with powerful and accomplished women. We shared about what drives and fuels each of us and celebrated and lifted each other up. The event was so gorgeous and elegant that I ended up staying for the gala at night. Thank you for the opportunity, Karen White, J.D., Tania Maestas, Alden, Susan Mchabcheb, CFRE, and Stacey D. Stewart, MBA.

  • At the Women’s Empowerment Summit, our panel of incredible leaders shared how mentorship—whether formal or informal—has been pivotal in their journeys. Their insights reinforced a key truth: no one succeeds alone. We all stand on the shoulders of those who took the time to coach, guide, and believe in us. "A good coach can change a game—a great coach can change a life." These words from New Mexico Department of Justice Chief of Staff Lauren Rodriguez resonate far beyond the world of sports—they speak to the essence of mentorship. Mentorship isn’t about giving advice; it’s about shaping careers, building confidence, and opening doors that might otherwise remain closed. It’s about recognizing potential and helping others see it in themselves. And, as Danielle Cirelli (Chairperson, Habematolel Pomo of Upper Lake) so wisely put it, “Know your strengths and don’t let your ego get in the way.” The best mentors don’t lead with ego; they lead with purpose, collaboration, and the belief that lifting others up strengthens us all. This culture of mentorship, professional growth, and collaboration is exactly what Karen White has spent nearly three decades fostering in the attorney general community. As the longest-serving executive director across all organizations supporting state attorneys general, she has built an environment where leaders invest in one another, share knowledge, and develop the next generation of public servants. Her leadership, and this Summit, is a testament to the power of mentorship in action.

  • This outstanding panel at the Women’s Empowerment Summit, moderated by New Mexico Department of Justice Chief of Staff Lauren Rodriguez, highlighted the crucial role women play as mentors and leaders in fostering collaboration. Jane Moffat (BlackRock), Danielle Cirelli (Chairperson, Habematolel Pomo of Upper Lake Tribe), and Sherry Treppa (Tribal Ambassador, Habematolel Pomo of Upper Lake Tribe) brought powerful insights on mentorship, advocacy, and building pathways for success. This panel was a testament to the power of mentorship, collaboration, and lifting others up. A huge thank you to these incredible women for sharing their expertise and experiences!

I had the honor of speaking at the 3rd annual Attorney General Alliance Women’s Empowerment Summit. Thank you to Karen White, J.D. and the AGA team for their incredible bipartisan work to bring together female leaders across law, business, and public service engage in conversations on leadership, resilience, and collective impact. It was my privilege to participate on a panel with Tanya Gould, Director of Anti-Human Trafficking at the VA Attorney General's Office and expertly moderated by Tania Maestas of the Attorney General Alliance.?We shared our stories of resilience and strength and our continued efforts to create awareness and fight against human trafficking, as well as the importance for palliative care for children and their families and how to live after tragedy with purpose and meaning.

It’s cool to share your work on LinkedIn and all, but it’s equally gratifying to cheer on my family, friends, and colleagues when they CRUSH IT ??? Big kudos to Virginia Ross for her incredible panel presentation yesterday at the Attorney General Alliance Women’s Empowerment Summit in Del Mar. Alongside Delaware Attorney General Kathy Jennings and our community partners (Erica Olsen-Shaver) at the The National Network to End Domestic Violence (NNEDV), they discussed the crucial role of the private sector, policy, and technology to support survivors of domestic violence. Big thanks to Sean Riley for supporting our work and including us in this conversation. And to Karen White, J.D. for convening this powerful group of women yesterday.

  • Building on the discussion led by Delaware AG Kathy Jennings, one key highlight was how AGs can work with the private sector to support survivors of domestic violence. A great example: Amazon’s program providing 30,000 Ring cameras to nonprofits working directly with survivors. Collaboration like this helps ensure technology serves the most vulnerable while maintaining privacy and security. Learn more about the initiative here: https://lnkd.in/g-yP2QfS
