Think about newlyweds or those who have recently moved into a new home. They may have the means to afford essentials like furniture or appliances, but paying for everything in one go could strain their finances... The key lies in #responsibility. Budget accordingly, pay back on time and BNPL becomes a tool for financial empowerment... When used responsibly, #BNPL can actually promote better financial habits—encouraging users to plan spending and meet payment deadlines. In fact,?BNPL can be a stepping stone to financial discipline." In addition to the letter writer's thoughts, what many casual observers also don’t fully understand about BNPL: ???? No "rollover" debt— if a #BNPL payment is missed, the account is suspended immediately. You either pay on time, or you’re blocked. ???? Upfront merchant payments—BNPL providers pay partner merchants in full within 3 days, then collect from users over time. Every transaction is underwritten by the provider, ensuring the?merchant, provider, and customer all benefit—but only if payments are made on time, every time. ???Lower delinquency rates -- the proof is in the pudding. Earlier this month, our Atome Indonesia team re-affirmed its commitment to environmental sustainability and its Corporate Social Responsibility (#CSR) program through a mangrove tree-planting program on Genteng Kecil Island, about 2 hours boat ride from Jakarta. By planting 100 mangrove trees on Genteng Kecil Island, Atome contributed to reducing carbon emissions by approximately 3,300 kg CO? per year, while also helping preserve coastal ecosystems. This initiative is in line with Atome's commitment to supporting the United Nations' Sustainable Development Goals (#SDGs), particularly in addressing #climatechange. In addition to ecological benefits, this program also has a positive social impact, strengthening the relationship between the company and the local community, and encouraging collective action to protect and preserve environmental #sustainability.
