The City of Charlotte in collaboration with Centralina Clean Fuels Coalition hosted an impactful EV Ride & Drive event today to help educate and inspire other NC governments to work toward electrifying their own light- to heavy-duty fleet vehicles (including police, buses, grounds maintenance, street sweepers, and much more) and their communities. It was encouraging to see the number of NC municipalities and counties in attendance, enthusiastically engaged, and sharing their own success and learnings. They had the opportunity to drive a variety of EVs and witness a police EV in pursuit of two other EVs (on a controlled course; it was impressive driving and vehicle performance). Atom Power was proud to sponsor this event. Public and private partnerships like this are critical.
