??ToolBank Disaster Services (TDS) Update for Hurricane Helene and Hurricane Milton:??Hurricane Milton made landfall late last night, impacting a widespread area along the Gulf Coast of Florida. Prior to Milton, TDS had to temporarily suspend operations in Tampa, and our staff was sent home or to safer locations in Florida. Before suspending operations, our team processed tool orders, equipped community-based organizations with tools for responding to Helene and participated in a distribution event with Grainger disaster relief buckets, MREs, water, and other supplies. We also have operations established in Live Oak, FL, and our tools are supporting groups on the ground across the northern part of Florida and into Southern Georgia. At the end of this week, we will deploy a 48-foot trailer loaded with muck and gut tools to assist our partner organizations in Asheville, NC. If you are a local relief organization from Charlotte or Atlanta, please also consider utilizing your local ToolBank for tools.
