"You are not designed to flourish in every terrain. When you find your happy place, you will find your people." The past few weeks have been rough. The #routine that I so deeply clung to ended. Ever since I can remember, new routines always came with the immediate urge to hide in my home office and never leave the house. That is where I would be today if it wasn't for my friends and community. To the friends I am lucky enough to call my people, thank you for always giving me a swift kick and reminder that I have to get up, leave the house, and keep moving towards new routines and new goals. I LOVE being on my own. I'd probably be some kind of hermit if left fully to my own devices. But I accomplish so much more as a result of surrounding myself with people who push themselves and me along the way. Being surrounded by others who want the same things in life as you do is ?? For me this happens a bunch of ways: - My colleagues and clients at HEARD Media - My gym pals at Reaction Fitness Collective (cc Carson Fox, Jantzen Raymond, etc etc) - All of the talent Atlas Local - Families at our church Making intentional decisions that are different than "normal" requires focus, thoughtful consideration, and community. Each environment helps me focus my attention and goals on things that matter + helps me meet others who believe and act the same way. Find your people!
