We celebrated a historic moment in packaging industry history - the 25th anniversary of Atlantic Packaging's acquisition of Henley Paper! On July 1, 1999, two family-owned powerhouses joined forces, and what a journey it's been. Our reunion dinner in Greensboro, North Carolina, was filled with laughter, nostalgia, and gratitude. With many speakers and stories shared, we reminisced about the challenges we've overcome and the successes we've achieved together. Thank you to everyone that has been part of this incredible 25-year journey. We've grown beyond our wildest dreams while maintaining our commitment to independence and customer service. Our sustainability team coordinated a tour of North Carolina State University's pulp and paper labs to learn more about the paper making process, recyclability testing, and opportunities for future collaboration. Sustainably optimizing packaging for recyclability is crucial to mitigating the global pollution crisis, and collaboration is key to making progress toward a more circular economy. Fiber-based packaging and biomaterials are critical to the future of sustainable innovation in our industry.
