Project Spotlight: North Shore Flats ?? Located in Pittsburgh’s North Shore, this development includes a 400-plus-space parking garage and a six-story mixed-use building with retail and residential space. The structure features a concrete podium, wood framing, and a masonry shear wall system, with a sleek fa?ade of brick, metal panels, and glass. A key challenge was designing the foundation to span over the Pittsburgh Light Rail tunnels below.
