We had an amazing time at the Atlanta Bard Show this weekend. There were lots of laughs, fun, and unforgettable moments. Check out the photos below for a peek into some of the scenes from the show. Congrats to Atlanta Bar Past President and Bard Show event chair Maggie Vath on another great production. A huge thank you to all the actors, crew, and band members who brought the show to life, and a special shoutout to the sponsors who made it all possible. Finally, we appreciate all who purchased tickets and were part of the packed house in the audience. We hope you enjoyed as much as we did. Discover the fascinating world of Judge Mike Jacobs in his Spotlight Cast Interview excerpts below: 1. When did you discover your show or artistic talent? I have been singing karaoke for decades, primarily standards and show tunes. I also have a favorite piano bar in Atlanta, where I go to sing from time to time. I made good friends there who sing in the Atlanta Gay Men’s Chorus. Those friends encouraged me to audition. In the late summer of 2022, I took the plunge and did just that. I’ve been singing as a baritone in the Atlanta Gay Men’s Chorus since that audition. It is an activity I do for myself outside of work. I love having it as an artistic outlet, which has helped me become a better singer. 2. Why did you decide to participate in the Bard Show? I am a trial judge who enjoys musical theatre and loves to sing show tunes. With that profile, the Bard Show seems like destiny. I have attended the Bard Show previously, but this will be my first time as a performer. I am very excited! Discover the fascinating world of Judge Christopher McFadden on his spotlight interview below: 1. When did you discover your show or artistic talent? I started taking acting lessons as a small child and was active in theater through college. More recently, apart from a few performances at church, the Bard has been my principal opportunity to perform on stage. 2. Why did you decide to participate in the Bard Show?? As my previous response suggests, there was little to decide. 3. What do you enjoy most about the show? Apart from the enjoyment inherent in performing, the fellowship is unparalleled. 4. What feedback have you received for participating in the show – artistic or general? That it is fun and that there is a remarkable amount of talent in our bar. 5. Does your artistic endeavor help you with your job as a lawyer? It provides a remarkable opportunity to get to know other members of the bar. (I knew Justice David Nahmias for ten years before I learned how to pronounce his last name.) 6. What is your favorite musical show – besides the Bard Show? Man of La Mancha.
