Athletes Without Limits began in 2009 with one athlete who wouldn’t let intellectual impairment stand in the way of his quest to become a World Champion. Since then we’ve grown to 10+ sports and hundreds of US athletes with a shared dream to reach their highest levels in mainstream and para-sport. As the USA Member of Virtus International, we're affiliated with the IPC, US Paralympics, US Para Karate, US Rowing the USGA, and other high-performance governing bodies. Athletes Without Limits is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization.

It’s a week of humbling anniversaries: 15 years since Athletes Without Limits received our 501c designation. Since then we’ve worked with over 1000 athletes, families, coaches, para and community sport and recreation programs and sponsors to open opportunities and provide support for athletes to reach their highest potential and compete alongside their peers from around the world. 11 years ago I was elected to the Virtus governing board as Secretary General. Working with amazing leaders from around the globe is one of the best professional experiences I’ve had. Heartfelt thanks to those who have supported Athletes Without Limits’ work and those who have been my mentors, teachers and examples of leading with purpose. Most importantly, thank you to the athletes - the greatest of teachers!
