Welcome to the Athlete Incubator a groundbreaking startup business incubator designed to empower Athletes in their transition to Athlete-Founders in the world of Bay Area startups. We understand that the athlete mindset thrives on discipline, dedication, and the pursuit of excellence, and our program aligns with these principles. At the heart of our program is a three-month Corporate Formation & Governance Matters Program, a rigorous curriculum that guides Athlete-Founders through the intricacies of business operations. The Athlete-Incubator focuses on the foundational phase in the life cycle of a startup, particularly tailored for athletes venturing into the business world. One of the defining features of the Athlete-Incubator is the pursuit of seed funding. This funding is essential for scaling the business idea into a tangible, market-ready product or service. Successful fundraising during this phase validates the concepts potential, providing the necessary resources for further development and market entry. Throughout this period Athlete-Founders will build a strong foundation for their startup and lay the groundwork for future growth and scalability, while the Athlete-Incubator helps assemble a dedicated team, establish key partnerships and create a compelling brand identity.

It’s always a good time when I have a reason to be back on the University of San Francisco campus! ?? ?? Yesterday’s NIL conference, hosted by University of San Francisco School of Law alongside the USPTO, sparked meaningful discussions about athlete IP rights and the forever evolving NIL landscape. I love connecting with our #USF community to engage in these important conversations. Big thanks to everyone who worked hard to put this together and for hosting a wonderful event! “ … this is a necessary and reasonable request. “ — The Legal Institute for Athletic Advancement ????????
?? The NFL Players Association released the following statement on its Instagram page urging the National Football League (NFL) to shift media interviews outside of locker rooms: ?? “Over the last three years, the NFL Players Association has tried to work with the NFL and the Pro Football Writers of America to move media interviews out of locker rooms. However, there has been little willingness to collaborate on a new solution. Players feel that locker room interviews invade their privacy and are uncomfortable. This isn’t about limiting media access but about respecting players’ privacy and dignity. The NFL’s current media policy is outdated. We, the NFLPA Executive Committee, urge the National Football League (NFL) to make immediate changes to foster a more respectful and safer workplace for all players. In the meantime, we encourage all players to ask for interviews outside the locker room during the week.” We at The Legal Institute for Athletic Advancement believe this is a reasonable and necessary request ?????? Clinging to outdated policies simply because “this is how it’s always been done” is not enough of a justification—especially without a clear, tangible benefit. Often, policies like these exploit or favor one party, and given the racial history in professional sports, they can also perpetuate further inequity. It’s time for the NFL to adopt a more respectful and forward-thinking media policy that prioritizes player dignity. We stand with the NFL Players Association supporting this call for change ??? #PlayerPrivacy #AthleteRights #NFLPA #FairnessInSports #RespectInSports #PlayerAdvocacy #FootballContent #FootballNews #Media #NFL #SportsLaw #sportsLawyer #MediaRights #SportsAgent #SportsManagement #BayAreaSports
