I’ve been there—many times—only to watch those “genius” ideas vanish like smoke. But let’s pause for a moment. Are we chasing creativity or being creative? There’s a profound difference. How many times have you poured weeks (or even years) into a project, only to feel deflated when the final result doesn’t quite match the masterpiece you saw in your mind? It can be frustrating. I know the feeling all too well. Here’s a hard truth: Reality might never outshine the spark of an idea. And that’s okay. Our imagination is limitless. Resources, time, and circumstances? Not so much. This contrast isn’t a curse—it’s an invitation. If we create solely to replicate perfection, we risk burning out. Chasing creativity can drain us. But when we embrace the process and hold creativity with open hands—we allow it to breathe, grow, and evolve beyond us. Creativity flourishes when we invite others into the journey.
