Excited to share that we’re backing Copley, a company we believe will be a pillar of the next generation of Boston tech. The founding team—David Henriquez, Sean Marshall, and mike torra—combines the DNA of Klaviyo and Demandware to bring AI-powered experimentation to eCommerce marketing, giving brands a smarter, more scalable way to test and optimize their content. This deal came together in textbook Asymmetric fashion, with early connections from existing Asymmetric founder Arjun Aggarwal, Sean Marshall in his capacity as Asymmetric Executive in Resident, and Advisor Partner Rich Gardner. While much of the AI hype is focused on abstract, unfocused applications, Copley is applying AI where it actually makes sense—automating and enhancing a core business function that has historically been slow, manual, and inefficient. We’re thrilled to lead Copley’s pre-seed and look forward to watching Copley build the future of AI-driven marketing experimentation! https://lnkd.in/eHjp_9Vr

Early stage capital for disruptive technology companies.
关于我们
We partner with disruptive technology companies across software, marketplaces, fintech, and digital health by offering founders, early investors, and limited partners the most transparent, research-driven, and operator-centric capital. We believe it’s important to have a meaningful point of view on a space and sector *before* meeting teams so their most precious resource - time - is well spent. Our investment themes and specific company targets are substantially generated by a network of operators: a special class of Limited Partners which we call our Advisory Partners. We have strong conviction that operators who are actually in the arena each day are best positioned to identify the differentiated people and ideas we want to back. We reject wholeheartedly the growing sense that VCs should be hands off cheerleaders - we want to be tremendously helpful and positive thought partners on a weekly basis. We believe founders and early employees deserve honest, empathic capital partners who are supportive, emotionally invested and transparent. We take extreme personal accountability for helping to make each of our portfolio companies successful. We participate alongside and after world-class investors, and encourage our extensive network in the later-stage growth capital industry to follow behind us when companies have demonstrated successful scale. We believe the best founders come from diverse backgrounds and we enter first meetings with no preconceived notions of the “correct” background for a founder. We don’t compromise in one area, however: unquestioned integrity.

So happy that Asymmetric was a small part of the story here … congrats to the team! Wonderful working with Alex Marlantes and would do it again in a heartbeat.
Everlance is being acquired! I’m so proud of what our team has accomplished and can’t believe this all started as a project with Gabriel Garza Rodríguez in grad school. ? 4,000,000+ people have used the software we’ve built. ??Our power users save over a full day a year – that means 100,000’s of people have a day back to spend with their families, build a side business, or spend a little more time outdoors. ? We’ve done a lot with a little - over the course of the company for every dollar invested we created nearly 1.5x that in recurring revenue. Everlance is joining Motus and you can read more about the combination here: https://lnkd.in/gzhJy8re. After spending time with Phong Nguyen it became obvious to us that this was the right combination and we’re extremely excited about the combined capabilities of the two companies and our next chapter at Motus. There are too many people to thank, but on the investor side I wanted to thank the people who put us into business at each stage. Andy Rachleff for being the first “yes”, Roy E. Bahat and Bloomberg Beta at the Seed, and Jeremy Levine and Alexandra Sukin at the Series A. We are especially grateful to our coworkers who bet a substantial portion of their careers that we could build something together. Given how long this list of folks is it’s easier to just thank everyone past and present at Everlance. The talent and dedication of those who joined along the way brought us new life and we're deeply appreciative of everyone who took a bet on us from customers to coworkers.
