I traveled to India, home to ASU’s largest international student community, to speak at the ASU+GSV Emeritus Summit (ASU+GSV Summit) on the future of higher education in one of the world’s largest democracies. Our Indian Alumni Chapter - ASU Alumni Association chapters hosted meet and greets with university leadership, and we also attended np sessions our higher education partner institution’s Rajalakshmi Engineering College and Anurag University as well as gatherings with India’s Minister of Education, Sh. Dharmendra Pradhan and the AMCHAM India.

Today we celebrate the first-ever cohort of Mastercard Foundation participants to complete the Artificial Intelligence in Business (AIB) Certificate Program at Arizona State University ???? Created by the W. P. Carey School of Business – Arizona State University, the 15-week online certificate program focuses on the foundational study of AI, Python, machine learning, and data-driven solutions, combining hands-on training, and one-on-one coaching to help participants modernize business processes in the 21st century workforce. The 10 exceptional participants, hailing from Ethiopia, Sierra Leone, Tanzania, Ghana, Cameroon, Uganda, and Rwanda, were supported as part of a recent awarded grant from the Mastercard Foundation focused on advancing innovation and technology in Africa.
