关于我们
The School of Social Work at Arizona State University is one the largest and most diverse social work programs in the U.S. We prepare practitioners committed to upholding social justice and to serving and empowering individuals, families and communities. The School emphasizes understanding and respect for the unique social, political, and cultural diversity of the Southwest. We are part of the ASU Watts College of Public Service and Community Solutions — a community of change agents passionate about making a difference in the world. For over 50 years, our school has tackled the most pressing challenges facing communities locally and globally. Our faculty and students are among the most racially and ethnically diverse in the country, enriching our research, teaching and service.

This social work month, we're highlighting SSW alum Becky Krumm, MSW, Assistant Director of the Arizona Department of Child Safety's Office of Accountability. Her favorite aspect of being a social worker? "There’s a lot of that foundational knowledge that’s important and translates. The importance of a parallel process in the role that I do is so important. Those foundations and the essence of social work is definitely still there in Macro social work.” #SWMonth2025

Social work is rewarding for Carolina Alonzo, a Phoenix Union school social worker and ASU School of Social Work alum. "My favorite aspect of being a social worker is showing kids who look like me that we can do hard things, break cycles and uplift our communities in the process," she says.
