Still reeling with excitement about the incredible conversation we had at “Her Path”, our Women’s History Month event with the ASU Indian Alumni Chapter featuring Ankita Kardile, Athi Pradhan, Sonila K. and Ranjani Sreenivasan. Hearing our alumni share their journeys—navigating college, careers, and connections—was beyond inspiring. But what stood out the most was the stories of breaking stereotypes, challenging expectations, and redefining success on their own terms! From stepping into male-dominated industries to rewriting the narrative on what leadership looks like, these women are paving the way for the next generation. Huge thanks to our amazing moderators, Manasa Kovvali Rao and Tanvi Raorane and to everyone who joined in to make this such a powerful discussion. If you missed this one, we highly recommend keeping an eye out for our future events. The conversations and connections here are truly invaluable. #ASUAlumni #HerPath #BreakingBarriers #WomensHistoryMonth #Networking #Community

Meghana Sridhar , a board member at Indian Alumni Chapter - ASU Alumni Association is passionate about bridging academia with real-world industry challenges. As an Assistant Clinical Professional at Arizona State University West Valley Campus, she plays a crucial role in driving strategic planning, research, and data structuring initiatives for the Center for Small and Medium-Sized Businesses. Her work supports the growth of SMBs in Arizona while creating impactful learning opportunities for students engaging with this industry. Meghana’s time at ASU was filled with transformative moments. Her top three highlights include: ? Being honored as one of the Outstanding Graduates of the Class of 2023 and seeing herself on the graduation stage TVs in the Carey Code ? An exclusive visit to Starbucks Headquarters in Seattle on an invite and scholarship ? The unwavering support of W. P. Carey faculty and staff, who became her mentors and lifelong well-wishers One course stood out in Meghana’s ASU journey—Data-Driven Quality Management with Professor Brett Duarte. Sitting front row in the most interactive class she had ever taken, she thrived on hands-on case studies and assignments. “It’s collaboration at the top, competition at the bottom. ASU’s collaborative and encouraging environment was where I thrived the most. There was no room for comparison—only growth. The only person you should aim to be better than is who you were yesterday. That mindset fosters curiosity, learning, and continuous improvement. Your story brought you here, now make sure you embellish it with your own stars.” For more of Meghana’s insights, check out her blog for Career Services: https://lnkd.in/dAkgyS47 Want to connect with Meghana and learn ? Vishnu Priya Nagubandi , a board member at Indian Alumni Chapter - ASU Alumni Association has seamlessly blended her technical expertise with business strategy in her role as a Business Data Analyst at Chubb With a Master of Science in Business Analytics from ASU (Class of 2023), she now plays a crucial role in driving efficiency and innovation in claims operations through data-driven insights. Vishnu Priya’s time at ASU’s W. P. Carey School of Business was filled with learning, collaboration, and personal growth. Her favorite courses—Analytical Decision Modeling with Professors Wang and Webster and SCM 517 with Professor Brett—challenged her to think critically and apply theoretical concepts to real-world problems. But beyond the classroom, her ASU journey took an unexpected yet rewarding turn when she got involved in the Indian Alumni Chapter. Connecting with students, organizing networking events, and helping grow the alumni community became a passion, one that she continues to pursue. A standout experience during her graduate program was working with Latham Industries, a woman-owned small business, as part of her Lean Six Sigma certification. Sourcing the project through the Small and Medium Businesses Lab led by Professor Hitendra Chaturvedi, she and her team tackled real-world challenges—visiting the company, conducting process improvements, and delivering impactful findings. The project reinforced her belief in the power of hands-on learning and industry collaboration. When she’s not analyzing data, Vishnu Priya finds balance through fitness, singing, crocheting, and reading. During her ASU days, the W. P. Carey building became her second home, and after long study sessions, unwinding with friends at Sun Devil Fitness Complex was her go-to routine. Her biggest takeaway from both ASU and her professional journey? The power of soft skills. “I always heard that soft skills are just as important as technical expertise, but moving to the U.S. truly made me realize their value,” she shares. Whether through work or networking, she’s learned that confidence and communication are essential for professional growth. For current students and recent graduates, her advice is simple: networking isn’t just about career opportunities—it’s about refining presentation skills, becoming more articulate, and building meaningful connections. Vishnu is actively involved in alumni community and can be reached out on LinkedIn or at asu events.

Mridula Potdar , board member at the Indian Alumni Chapter - ASU Alumni Association is shaping the future of construction through her work as an Assistant Project Manager at SDB Contracting Services. At SDB she specializes in scheduling, budgeting, and procurement while ensuring seamless communication between teams, stakeholders, and even city administration. Her role involves tracking project progress, managing documentation, and ensuring every detail complies with building codes—all while keeping safety and efficiency at the forefront. Despite taking most of her classes online, Mridula fully immersed herself in student organizations, particularly IMFA (International Facility Management Association). Starting as the Outreach/Marketing Officer for the student chapter, she built invaluable connections that ultimately led to her current role. Today, she continues to give back as the IFMA Young Professionals Chair for the Phoenix Chapter. Another defining experience was working with Dr. Anthony Pesek as a grader. His mock interviews helped prepare her for real-world challenges, and their mentorship remains strong to this day. For Mridula, ASU wasn’t just about earning a degree—it was about becoming the person she is today. Mridula’s curiosity for cutting-edge construction methods was fueled by her favorite courses: ? Advanced Procurement Systems with Dr. Kenneth Sullivan ? Trenchless Construction Methods with Samuel Ariaratnam (yes, it’s a real thing, and it’s as cool as it sounds!) Most of Mridula’s work is centered at Phoenix Sky Harbor, but a standout moment in her career was managing an entire project at ASU Macro Technology Works Lab. This state-of-the-art wafer-manufacturing plant was a thrilling challenge, and the best part? As a token of appreciation, they gifted her one of the wafers upon project completion—bringing her journey full circle. The Secret Garden and Hayden Library—a perfect blend of peace and inspiration is Mridula’s goto spot on ASU Tempe campus An avid reader, Mridula is always up for a good book swap! Words of Advice for Students & Recent Graduates - “Find a mentor. Learn from them—not just what to do but also what not to do. And stay open to every opportunity that comes your way—you never know where it might lead.” Interested in chatting about resumes, interview prep, or career insights? Ranjani Sreenivasan graduated in 2015 with an MS in Mechanical Engineering and is now a Senior Program Manager at Amazon, working in the transportation space to oversee operational program improvements. The highlight of her ASU journey was the incredible people she met and the friendships that have stood the test of time.
