With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Porter Wafler, our esteemed Sales Manager at Assurance Emergency Lighting. Porter joined Assurance in 2019, bringing over 30 years of experience across diverse industries and deep expertise in engineering support, sales management, and customer service. Before his time with Assurance, Porter spent 15 years as Regional Sales Manager at The Bodine Company, where he forged lasting relationships and built a reputation as a dedicated leader in the lighting industry. A proud graduate of the University of Arkansas with a degree in Agricultural Engineering, he later found his true calling in lighting, combining his technical knowledge with an unwavering commitment to customer care. He was also NCQLP Lighting Certified (LC), further underscoring his professional expertise and dedication. Porter will be remembered for his immediate responsiveness, tireless focus on customers’ needs, and the kindness that defined every interaction. He was not just a colleague but a trusted friend, always ready to offer a helping hand and an encouraging word. His dedication to service, professionalism, and generosity of spirit made a lasting impact on everyone who had the privilege of knowing him. A true gentleman in our industry and an even greater human being, Porter’s absence will be deeply felt by all of us at Assurance Emergency Lighting and beyond.
