Association of Independent Schools in New England

The Association of Independent Schools in New England accreditation process is a powerful tool used by independent schools to ensure they are delivering their mission in the best way possible. It’s also an opportunity to meet inspiring educators and re-energize. I recently had the privilege of leading a team of thoughtful colleagues from eight New England schools on an accreditation visit to The Pike School. Thanks to Beth Friedman from AISNE for supporting the team and to Will Powers and the Pike team for hosting us. Kudos to my new friends for their hard work: Margaret Schlachter, M.Ed., Matt Kessler, Michelle LaMarre, Sarah Conrad, Judi O'Brien, Dr. Laneisha Gray, Savannah Armstrong, and Ruth Condori-Aragon. If you’re in an AISNE school and have not yet served on a visiting team, volunteer! It’s a great learning experience.

Thank you, Pinkerton Academy, for hosting our Town Academy leaders last week for a discussion about the public-private identity of this unique group of AISNE members. We loved visiting your campus and seeing your students in action, particularly the culinary arts students who prepared delicious meals for us in the Astro Cafe!

AISNE's 2025 Health & Wellness Conference is Thursday, May 8 at the Four Points Sheraton in Norwood, MA.
