Accreditation relies on the hard work and expertise of faculty, staff, and administrators from across the AISNE membership to come together to support an accredited school’s journey of continuous improvement. AISNE's 2025 Health & Wellness Conference is Thursday, May 8 at the Four Points Sheraton in Norwood, MA. The Massachusetts Department of Public Health recently announced proposed changes to its regulations, specifically those regarding the administration of medications in schools. If passed, these regulations, which present several potential concerns, will apply to all K – 12 schools. In response to an invitation for public comment, AISNE joined a coalition of organizations representing hundreds of schools requesting more robust dialogue regarding the impact of these proposed changes prior to approval. Thank you to our partner organizations representing K – 12 schools in the Commonwealth to advocate for safe and healthy schools: MAAPS (Massachusetts Association of Approved Private Special Education Schools), Massachusetts Association of School Superintendents (MASS), Massachusetts Organization of Educational Collaboratives (MOEC), and The Massachusetts Administrators for Special Education (ASE).
