ABRF Research Group/Committee Member of the Year – Molly Zeller, University of Wisconsin Madison ABRF is pleased to present the Robert A. Welch Outstanding Research Group/Committee Member of the Year Award to Molly Zeller with the University of Wisconsin – Madison.?Molly was nominated by several of her peers for her valuable contributions and leadership to the Annual Meeting Committee, the MWACD Organizing Committee, Membership Committee, and the DNA Sequencing Research Group.?Along with her boundless enthusiasm for ABRF, Molly is an extraordinary ambassador and spokesperson for the ABRF community.

#ABRF2025 Update: Just added – the ABRF Core Administrators’ Network will facilitate a discussion on the impact of the proposed changes to NIH Indirect Cost rates: Tuesday, March 25 9:00 – 10:15 am This will be an interactive session to share ideas and potential ways to respond to this new funding model.?Participants will work in small groups to discuss how their institutions are planning for this potential change and how this could be a unique opportunity to demonstrate the value of Shared Research Resources.? #ABRF2025 Session Spotlight: Regional and National Core Facilities: Opportunities and Challenges. Description: Core Facilities or Shared Resources are typically thought of those that are situated at individual academic or non-profit institutions that cater to the local users. However, regional hubs such as the New York Structural Biology Center as well as national centers like the National High Magnetic Field Laboratory and the Brookhaven National Laboratory also have many shared user facilities that provide in-person and/or remote services that help a large cross section of local, regional, national, and international users. In this session, speakers from such core facilities (both biological and non-biological) will share their experiences and challenges of running their facilities that cater to national and international users.
