#ABRF2025 Session Spotlight: Regional and National Core Facilities: Opportunities and Challenges. Description: Core Facilities or Shared Resources are typically thought of those that are situated at individual academic or non-profit institutions that cater to the local users. However, regional hubs such as the New York Structural Biology Center as well as national centers like the National High Magnetic Field Laboratory and the Brookhaven National Laboratory also have many shared user facilities that provide in-person and/or remote services that help a large cross section of local, regional, national, and international users. In this session, speakers from such core facilities (both biological and non-biological) will share their experiences and challenges of running their facilities that cater to national and international users.
