This year marks the 10th Annual National Apprenticeship Week (NAW), celebrated from November 17-23! Earlier this week, we had the opportunity to connect with aspiring apprentices at Anne Arundel Workforce Development Corporation’s Apprenticeship and Career Fair! Our very own Director of AACP Apprenticeship Program, Paige Reese, was able to attend this event. She stated, "In celebration of National Apprenticeship Week, we had the opportunity to attend Anne Arundel Workforce Development Corporation’s Apprenticeship and Career Fair. AACP was able to connect with potential apprentices and share how our 4-year program can take them from a job to a career. Apprenticeship programs like ours are an essential part of the HVAC industry as it teaches people real-world skills, and provides long-term growth and job stability. A huge thank you goes out to all the companies and apprentices who are currently in our program, thanks for all that you do!" Although National Apprenticeship Week draws to a close, we continue to proudly celebrate our apprentices, instructors, and supervisors year-round, and look forward to NAW 2025!?? #AACP #NAW2024 #DecadeOfNAW #ApprenticeshipUSA

This year marks the 10th Annual National Apprenticeship Week (NAW), celebrated from November 17-23! Continuing our celebration of National Apprenticeship Week, we're proud to highlight Evelyn Rhodes, an AACP Apprenticeship Program graduate who is now an instructor! Evelyn shared her personal highlights over the time in the program, stating, "My favorite thing about an apprenticeship program like AACP’s is the blend of hands-on learning and mentorship. Being able to apply knowledge in real-world situations and tackle real challenges is incredibly fulfilling and reinforces learning in a way that theory alone cannot. Another aspect I value is the opportunity to work closely with experienced mentors and peers who are passionate about their field. Additionally, the sense of community and support within the program creates an environment where growth and learning feel collaborative and enjoyable." Rhodes went on to graduate from the Apprenticeship Program, and continues making an impact in the HVACR industry, saying, "Currently, I am focused on developing my expertise and exploring learning opportunities that align with my career goals. I’m also open to further training or certifications that could enhance my skills and make me more competitive in the job market. Because of the program, I am now able to teach others the skills that I have learned and amplify the rewards of the program. I am giving back to hundreds of students, which is expanding the careers of many." This year marks the 10th Annual National Apprenticeship Week (NAW), celebrated from November 17-23! Continuing our celebration of National Apprenticeship Week, we’re proud to spotlight Jonathan Barrick, a graduate of the AACP Apprenticeship Program who is now an instructor! When asked why he joined AACP's Apprenticeship Program among his various options, Jonathan stated, "I joined the AACP Apprenticeship Program because I wanted a structured pathway into the HVAC field that would offer hands-on experience, mentorship, and formal training. The program provided a solid foundation, giving me the technical skills and practical knowledge needed to succeed and advance in a competitive industry. AACP's reputation for producing skilled professionals was also a big draw for me." He continued on to say, ""My favorite part of the program was the real-world application of what we learned. The instructors brought a wealth of field experience, and being able to practice skills in a controlled environment allowed me to grow confident in my abilities. I also loved participating in the national HVAC apprenticeship competition—it was a privilege to compete nationally against apprentices from all over the United States. The community within AACP was also very supportive, making it a great place to learn and build."
