Our Traka and Vingcard teams recently teamed up for a collaborative Voice of the Employee workshop where they explored new ways of driving positive change through employee insights. The workshop was based on the results from the previous years' employee survey. Shellie Prewett, Managing Director at Vingcard, led the Traka session, while Tom Smith, Head of Traka UK, chaired the Vingcard one. Safety always comes first. Biosite Systems Ltd put to action how their integrated solutions support effective evacuation on construction sites. With several opportunities to change roles, work abroad or take on new learnings through company provided training, our colleagues possess many great stories. We have spoken to Jack Rickwood, Director of Operations Europe and UK for DS Security Group Ltd, who took on a new opportunity that skyrocketed his career within the company. “Previously working for Traka, I really enjoyed my role there, but I was always keeping an eye out for possibilities on our internal news and job systems. One day I came across the role as Integration Manager. The purpose of the role was to support with the acquisition of DS Security to Global Solutions’ Self Storage business area. With full support from my manager at Traka I took on this role for a six-month secondment, which meant my current role at Traka remained open for me to return to once I had completed the integration process.” “The purpose of my role as Integration Manager was to ensure a seamless integration. I acted as the link between DS Security and ASSA ABLOY, managing various integrations across departments. The experience from this role has been invaluable, enabling us to coordinate and complete the integration of DS Security to a high standard, while also fostering excellent working relationships.” “Following the successful integration, I had spent considerable time with the team, learning the business and building strong relationships. I saw a potential opportunity for a role that would be a step up from to my previous role. After several conversations and planning, I was offered the permanent role of Director of Operations UK/Europe at DS Security.” “When I first took on the Integration Manager role, I didn’t realize the opportunities this role would lead to, certainly not being promoted to a director’s role. When I wanted to progress into this new role, my manager at Traka was nothing but 100% supportive of me and wished me the best of luck on my new venture.
