With National Giving Month coming this December, join Aspire Cricket in making cricket more accessible for girls and women in the USA. Right now, 1 in 4 girls can’t afford the cost of playing sports and 1 in 5 lacks access to sports opportunities (source: Women’s Sports Foundation, Play to Lead). We are working to change this by providing accessible opportunities for girls and women to learn, practice and play cricket! Our Goal - Provide 100+ girls access to cricket in 2025 through introductory-level activities, advanced skills development camps and casual matches. Raising $10,000 helps us toward our goal: ??$20 introduces cricket to one girl ??$50 provides a 6-week introductory program to one girl ??$100 enrolls one girl in a skills development camp ??$2,000 funds a team of 11 girls in a 2-day camp As a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, all donations made to Aspire Cricket are tax deductible. Join us this season in giving the gift of cricket - No barriers attached! ?? Donate via the link below or find us on Benevity for corporate matching. Thank you! ?? We’re incredibly proud of our co-founder, Aundria Mirabrishami, for representing Aspire Cricket at Girls Inc. of Alameda County Empowerfest. The event truly brought to life the incredible impact that Girls Inc. has on the community, from strengthening bonds to helping girls and young women achieve their full potential. We are honored to support this important mission. Special thanks to Girls Inc. of Alameda County for the invitation and warm hospitality, and to our partner, the San Francisco Unicorns, for being a valued partner in this journey. This summer’s collaboration, where we introduced 75 girls to the sport of cricket through the Discover Cricket Summer Series, was just the beginning. We’re excited to continue empowering girls through sport, community, and partnership. https://lnkd.in/gvQ7Nbs8
Proud to represent Aspire Cricket at the Empowerfest, Girls Inc. of Alameda County's fundraiser, alongside Zayanya de Alwis from our awesome partners, the San Francisco Unicorns. Really an amazing job to everyone at Girls Inc that made this fundraiser a beautiful experience. From the warm welcomes to the tasteful apps! It was a treat to attend. Icing on the cake was seeing my Deloitte colleagues, who are equally passionate about the Girls Inc. mission. Really shows how seamlessly my work in the nonprofit space aligns with my role at Deloitte. Great to see you Nicole Patterson! Earlier this summer, Aspire Cricket partnered with Girls Inc. of Alameda County to deliver a Discover Cricket Summer Series, introducing 75 girls to the sport of cricket. The event was supported by the SF Unicorns’ sponsorship. It’s exciting to see these seeds planted, and we look forward to continuing future collaborations, empowering young girls through sport and community.

On the heels of USA Cricket’s decision to look toward the future and change captaincy for the Women’s Senior National Team, Aspire Cricket would like to recognize Sindhu Sriharsha for her invaluable contributions to the team and cricket community over her nearly 8 years as captain. We would also like to extend a warm congratulations to Aditiba Chudasama on her new role! Sindhu has been the only captain that any of the current Senior National Team members have known. They have grown up and come into their own under Sindhu’s leadership - a responsibility she has cherished, but has never taken lightly. Over this time, Sindhu has gone above and beyond her role on the pitch, by giving back to the girls and cricket community through volunteering, mentorship and co-founding Aspire Cricket. The positive impact she has made in helping women’s cricket move forward in this country cannot be overstated. Sindhu has always done her very best for the team and will continue to support Aditiba and the girls through this change as they enter a 5-match ODI series in Zimbabwe. Wheels up 10 days from now. Hats off to you, Sindhu, and best of luck to Aditiba and the team as they battle Zimbabwe for wins! ??https://lnkd.in/g4CytE69

The latest study by the Women's Sports Foundation was released this month and is a powerful reminder of the positive impact youth sports have on women's leadership development. Key Highlights: ???? 67% of women believe they've carried skills and lessons from sports into adulthood. ???? 49% of women credit sports with shaping their leadership abilities. ???? The top skills learned from sports: 73% teamwork, 53% learning from mistakes, 51% handling pressure, and 46% pushing physical boundaries. However, barriers still persist for girls' participation in sports: ???? 27% cite family finances. ?????? 20% face low parental engagement. ????? 20% lack opportunities to participate. ???? 17% have injury/health concerns. The results from this study resonate deeply with us at Aspire Cricket because we have all gained so much in our lives and individual careers through life-long involvement in sports. In our work to pay it forward, we aim to address many of the barriers that hold girls back from participating. By creating safe, fun, accessible, community focused programming, we hope to inspire young cricketers to keep at it and to encourage more girls to give the sport a try. Creating opportunities in cricket for girls to learn and grow not only expands the game, but also develops our next generation of female leaders. We are driven by the role we have to play in this space and hope that support for girls and women in sport continues to grow! Thanks to the Women's Sports Foundation for this study. ??Play to Lead Study: https://lnkd.in/gNPZ8gFQ #AspireCricket #WomensCricket #WomensSports #USACricket

We are so proud to have partnered with Girls Inc. of Alameda County for a three-day Discover Cricket Summer Series. With sponsorship from the San Francisco Unicorns , we were able to introduce cricket to 75 amazing girls. ?? The girls are part of a 5-year Eureka Summer Program, focused on confidence, sisterhood, college and career readiness for girls aged 13-17. We feel incredibly grateful to partner with other organizations whose values around inclusivity and access to opportunities for girls align so closely with ours. It was a blast to watch the girls’ leadership styles shine through as they supported each other through various cricket-related competitions. The level of curiosity around cricket and the engagement we experienced from the girls was highly rewarding. The excitement and laughs we all shared will not soon be forgotten. We may have also discovered some serious athletic talent and hope that some of the girls feel inspired to continue learning about the game. We look forward to making the Discover Cricket Summer Series an annual tradition with Girls Inc of Alameda County and hope to launch other cricket-related activities during the school year. A big thank you to Girls Inc of Alameda County and their volunteers for the opportunity and for making the series such a big success! Thank you to the San Francisco Unicorns as well, whose sponsorship and support helped make the series possible. And last, but not least, thank you to our wonderful volunteer coaches for sharing your time and experiences with the girls and for being examples for young girls in sport to look up to: Chetnaa Prasad -?
