Big news at our Possibility Academy in Waukegan - our bathroom renovation is complete! ??? For the last few months, renovations have been occurring to transform one of our spaces into accessible women’s and men’s bathrooms on the south side of the building, and we are so excited that they are finished! To celebrate, we held a toilet paper ribbon-cutting ceremony ????. This project could not have been accomplished without the generous support of Julia Wold and the Grainger Family Foundation. Thank you for your continued support and generosity, you are truly helping to create a more inclusive world for everyone! ?? #PoweredByPossible #AccessibleSpaces #InclusiveDesign Serena Alaily, MBA

Black History Month is a time to honor the resilience, achievements, and contributions of Black leaders, activists, and communities who have shaped history and continue to inspire change ??. At Aspire, we recognize that true inclusivity means amplifying diverse voices, advocating for equity, and ensuring that all individuals, regardless of background or ability, have access to opportunities that empower them. This month serves as a reminder of the ongoing work needed to break down barriers and build a more just society. By celebrating Black history, we reaffirm our commitment to diversity and inclusion in all that we do. Together, we can create a future where everyone has the chance to thrive ?????. #PoweredByPossible #BlackHistoryMonth #Inclusion Serena Alaily, MBA

Aspire recently participated in the West Suburban Legislative Breakfast, joining UCP Seguin of Greater Chicago, Community Support Services, Inc. (CSS) , and Oak Leyden to discuss important issues impacting people with intellectual and developmental disabilities in Illinois. ???? Our very own Maggie Hassler was a speaker and was able to share some exciting information with State Legislators and local organizations about Aspire, our programs, and some things to come in the future. A big thank you goes out to Senator Javier Loera - Cervantes, Senator Mike Porfirio, State Representative Martha (Marti) Wiles Deuter, Chief of Staff Jose Vidal, and Chicagoland Director Eileen Lynch for attending and continuing to be champions for people with disabilities! ?? #PoweredByPossible #InclusivityInAction #InclusiveLegislation Serena Alaily, MBA

Aspire Chicago was honored to participate in the second annual DuPage County Martin Luther King Jr. "I Have a Dream" Unity Breakfast, which brought together 1,400 attendees to honor Dr. King's legacy and recognize Attorney Fred D. Gray. ??? The event highlighted the power of community, leadership, and collaboration. We extend our gratitude to Advisory Committee co-chairs Regina Brent and Dan Wagner for their vision and Mae Behm for her hospitality and inviting us to join the JVM Realty Corporation table. Seeing so many leaders and advocates was truly inspiring, and Aspire looks forward to future celebrations of unity and progress! ?? #PoweredByPossible Serena Alaily, MBA
