Since I was in the guts of Google Workspace trying to figure out how to read the contents of a Google Doc, I figured why not try Google Slides also? If possible, it's an even uglier hack than Docs, but it works! Chat with an entire deck or a text selection with Ask Steve.

You can now use Ask Steve to chat with Google Docs! Either an entire document or a selection. This is something that had been on the to-do list for a long time, but seemed like it would be complicated enough that I had been avoiding it. My 16yo was out late one night, and while waiting up for him I figured I'd give it a shot! In the end, none of the official methods worked. So... this is a TOTAL hack. But it works. For now... ??
