This incredible group of volunteers and business executives have poured their time and energy into organizing fundraisers, hosting community events to help make life better for children with cancer and their families across Virginia. They even got their families, friends, neighborhoods and coworkers involved to lend a helping hand. ?? This year marks the 6th year of our ASK Ambassador program, and we can't thank our ambassadors and ASK Ambassador Committee enough for their dedication and amazing efforts! THANK YOU! ?? ??

A warm welcome to one of ASK's newest Staff members, Amy Williams, HR Manager. ?? Her leadership and experience in human resources will be invaluable to our organization as we continue to grow. Amy comes to us with a wealth of experience in HR through her work with nonprofits, businesses, and government. She also has her Master's in Human Resource Management and is certified through the Society of Human Resource Management. She is truly passionate about human resources and helping employees and organizations thrive. ???? Our very own Amy Godkin was given the opportunity to attend the Cancer Action Coalition of Virginia (CACV) quarterly meeting to discuss collaborative statewide efforts, the success of ASK’s new education support navigator program and as well as the unique needs of adolescent and young adult patients. Meet ASK’s newest team member, Claire Baugh, Marketing Content Coordinator. Claire comes to us with a wealth of knowledge and experience in the social media sector. She began her social media career working at her alma mater, Longwood University and has always had a passion for philanthropic work. A fun fact about Claire is that she is an ASK Kid ?????. She enjoys bringing hope to families impacted by cancer, and she looks forward to helping children across Virginia battling cancer and their families with the financial and emotional support they need. HOLY COW! ???? We would like to give a big shoutout to Chick-Fil-A Southpoint and Chick-Fil-A Lee's Hill for partnering with us to provide over $700 worth of meals for our ASK families in Fredericksburg over the past few months! Whether our ASK Families were coming out of the hospital from active treatment or just feeling worn out from those long trips to the clinic, they were greeted with that signature Chick Fil A smile and we are so grateful for their dedication to making our families feel a little more at ease during this difficult time. ????? ??
