Even more simply, how do we build community outside of work and school?". We see potential to facilitate a space for answers to these questions by first bringing alumni together as individuals and as a collective. Alumni Mahjong Night comes from our team’s ongoing goal in intentionally engaging with A-VOYCE alumni. Thank you to all who were able to make it to November's Alumni Friendsgiving! Responses from its post-event feedback form helped shape Alumni Mahjong Night. Aside from the games, we hope this upcoming event also acts as a collaborative visioning session, where alumni can share feedback, ideas, and visions for future alumni engagement opportunities.

?? @asiancdc is hiring for two positions—a full time position and a paid, summer internship position! ? ?? The Chinatown Youth Programs Associate will lead our Chinatown A-VOYCE cohort, gaining hands-on experience in facilitation, curriculum building, creative placekeeping, and anti-displacement work. ??The YP Assistant will help facilitate ACDC’s Summer Leadership Academy (SLA), our summer program for high-school-aged-youth who are interested in urban development, creative storytelling, and community organizing. ?? ?? On March 4th, ACDC hosted its annual Malden Donuts with Delegates event with Malden A-VOYCE youth and State Representatives Paul Donato and Steven Ultrino. Sophia and Ivan from our Malden A-VOYCE program channeled their lived experiences towards advocating for affordable house and climate emergency resilience. ACDC staff Angie Liou and Reina Matsumoto advocated for policies including the Tenant’s First Right of Refusal (TOPA) and state budget priorities. About Donuts with Delegates Donuts with Delegates events convene residents and their local legislators to advocate for policies that support the community, such as increasing affordable housing, investing in youth leadership, and closing the wealth gap. ??
