Dear AAGEN SES Community, We are excited to announce the upcoming 2024-2025 AAGEN SES Leadership Development Program, set to kick off its Block 1 training on December 9th. This year, under the leadership of the Program Director, Denise Leung Williams, we aim to continue the proud tradition of developing future leaders. As you know, this program would not be sustainable without your generous support through coaching, mentoring, and volunteering in the past. So, we're reaching out again to ask for volunteers to serve as mentors, speakers, and coaches. This program is a unique opportunity to help shape the next generation of Asian American, Native Hawaiian, and Pacific Islander federal executives by sharing your expertise, guidance, and experience. Whether you are interested in mentoring an aspiring leader through their leadership journey, sharing your insights as a speaker, or coaching participants at our annual Leadership Workshop, your involvement would make a significant difference in our community's growth and success. Two cabinet officials started the day off?by sharing their experience and reflection on this year's theme "Identity, Integrity, and Influence - How to Lead in Uncertain Times." Retired Major General Garrett Yee and Dr. Ryung Suh delivered keynotes at our Salute Armed Forces and Veterans Luncheon. Principal Deputy Director Kei Koizumi closed the day by sharing his leadership journey and informed us about several OSTP priorities.

The SEA is proud to recognize outstanding federal service, characterized by exemplary executive leadership and outstanding professional performance on a major project with agency or department-wide impact that clearly exceeds expectations. Outstanding Senior Executive/Professional of the Year Award (OSEP Award): Recipients of this award are recognized for outstanding overall contribution and fundamental advancement in their particular field and functional responsibility for the previous calendar year. Spirit of Excellence in Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Accessibility (DEIA Award): Recipients of this award are recognized for outstanding work in diversity, equity and inclusion to include efforts combating sexual harassment in the workplace, and making their functional area or agency more inclusive and diverse for the previous calendar year. Last Friday, AAGEN celebrated the graduation of its 13th cohort from its Senior Executive Service Development Program (SES DP). We are inspired by their dedication and the potential they bring to the future of public service. Each of them has demonstrated remarkable commitment to excellence and leadership, and they are poised to be champions of the AAGEN's mission.
