Ashoka Fellow Akshay Saxena, Founder and Co-CEO of Avanti Fellows, has been honoured with the prestigious 2024 Social Entrepreneur of the Year Award from Schwab Foundation for Social Entrepreneurship and the Jubilant Bhartia Foundation! The announcement was made on Tuesday, September 10, 2024, recognising Saxena's transformative impact on educational access and equity. To ensure students from low-income households have realistic access to higher education, Akshay Saxena is creating an affordable alternative to the expensive tuition classes that currently serve as a threshold for students to pass their college entrance exams.
