We're thrilled to share that Christina Darwin, Program Manager at Ashley Behavioral Health & Wellness, was recently featured in Authority Magazine! ?? In the interview, she emphasizes the power of education and support in empowering others. As Christina says, "I cannot say this enough: to educate is to empower. If you see someone struggling, offering them support or connecting them to someone who can is extremely impactful. There are so many great resources, including those who want to share their stories of experience, strength, and hope." "He's wanted to be well for years. He has tried to stop drinking for years. He has tried to cut back for years. Why is it different now? Because he is persuaded to seek help outside of self. Ladies and gentlemen, I am, I am as convinced of this as I am convinced that I'm standing here. When an alcoholic admits that he's helpless, I cannot do this myself. I have reached the end of my line. I am helpless. When he reaches that point, he ceases to be hopeless."

In recovery (and in life), we often put so much pressure on ourselves to fix everything overnight. But here's the truth: ? It's okay if things aren't perfect right away. ? It's okay if setbacks happen. ? It's okay if the journey looks different than you imagined. Progress is progress, no matter how slow it may feel. ??

In times of uncertainty, it’s natural to seek control—whether that means keeping up with the news or urging loved ones to vote a certain way. But remember, constant exposure to upsetting news and unproductive conversations can be draining and increase stress. Take a step back and prioritize your well-being!
