WE ARE ONE!!! It's a beautiful thing to look back on just how much we have accomplished in a short twelve months. Above all, we are so thankful for the relationships and trust from our clients. Excited to see where the next months will lead us and mindful of the headwinds and challenges that lay ahead for our industry. As Nelson Mandela so eloquently put it "I have taken a moment here to rest, to steal a view of the glorious vista that surrounds me,?to look back on the distance I have come. But I can rest only for a moment, for with freedom comes responsibilities, and I dare not linger, for my long walk is not yet ended."

A lot of times people are hesitant to hire an Asset Manager. "What exactly do you do? How much more value can you really drive?" Those are the fun questions to field. However, we have been fortunate enough to work with clients who not only trust us but see our value! Recently, we had a client ask us to provide oversight on two more of their legacy assets. It's a property in need of a renovation that has been struggling to gain share because there are shinier, newer properties in the market. We worked incredibly hard with the property team in May, adjusting strategies and implementing new revenue management initiatives. We had to accept the age and quality of our asset & location, and decided to play a volume strategy over a rate strategy (not always our first choice, but sometimes the right choice). Our June STR couldn't be a better indicator of just how much those decisions paid off (19.1 RGI growth year-over-year). Simultaneously excited to oversee the cycle renovation this Winter & reposition this hotel to capture rate when we become the newest product in-market.
